The 15 Best B2B Sales Podcasts in 2020

In my first real “adult” job, I had to commute for almost 2 hours.

I spent 4 hours a day in my car in stop-and-go traffic dodging careening minivans packed full of screaming children doing everything they could to distract their tired parents.

Fearful of that woman who always does her makeup in the rearview mirror at 75mph. Or that tractor that got on the freeway.

Or that one guy eating a bowl of cereal. Cereal.

So, before smartphones or Bluetooth, I tried listening to the radio to calm my shellshock from the freeway warzone — but why does every radio station play the same songs at the same time every day?

I’ve forgotten everything I ever learned in trigonometry class, but now I will always know all the lyrics to “Carry On My Wayward Son.” Until I die, that’s just a thing I know.

I switched to talk radio, but that just gave me road rage. I turned the radio off and I got so bored that I’d get excited when they were putting up a new billboard.

I did this for 4 years. That’s 1,040 hours of my life. 520 repeats of the same Kansas song. And a whole lot of minivans, make-up speeders and cereal-eaters.

If I could have spent that time getting better at my career, there’s no telling how much further along I’d be.

But that was before podcasts.

Luckily, if you have to brave commuter chaos daily — or even if you don’t — you can take those hours and level up your sales skills.

So I’ve compiled a list of the best B2B sales podcasts.

What are the best B2B sales podcasts in 2020?

The best B2B sales podcasts in 2020 are:

  1. The Sales Engagement Podcast
  2. Advanced Selling
  3. The B2B Sales Show
  4. Daily Sales Tips
  5. Sales Hacker

But there are way more amazing B2B sales podcasts out there you should be listening to if you want to step up your sales game.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into the 15 best B2B sales podcasts.

1. Sales Hacker

Why you should listen: Sales Hacker is the number one community for sales professionals online. And host Sam Jacobs does an excellent job of relaying the best tips and tactics from thought leaders in the industry.

It’s almost impossible to listen to an episode and not learn something you can use immediately in your sales career, whether you’re just starting out or you’re a grizzled old veteran covered in sales battle scars you show off to your grandkids.

Topics span everything in B2B, from lead generation to marketing alignment to sales operations and social selling. It’s basically a Swiss Army Knife of practical sales tools.

What people are saying: “Really enjoyed the episode about prospecting and caring for customers during Coronavirus chaos. Very informative, good reminders and a great way to approach these times as a sales representative.” - Apple Podcasts Review

Length: 45 - 60 minutes

Why you should listen: Sales Gravy is a delicious sauce to add to your sales recipe. Host Jeb Blount is the best-selling author of People Buy You, which is a great book to get you back to the truest of sales fundamentals: Your success is equal to your ability to solve the problems of the customer.

On Sales Gravy, Jeb expands on the customer relationship tips, strategies for opening the door and key ideas for building strong business relationships that made his book so successful. Episodes can be as short as 5 minutes, offering quick digestible tips and tactics you can use right away, or up to an hour of in-depth interviews with industry experts.

I do have one question, though: If I’m eating fries while listening to Sales Gravy, does it become a Sales Poutine?

Everybody can — and should — make time for Daily Sales Tips each day. It’s like a meditation/motivation/inspiration practice for sellers. You’ll get one pithy insight each day and you can try it out immediately.

But, in case you’re worried, the snack-sized episodes are anything but empty calories or trite motivational quotes that usually appear under a picture of a cat clinging to a ledge. Why you should listen: Larger-than-life host Donald Kelly is really a great champion for sellers everywhere and the only thing as massive as his enthusiasm for sales is the profile of his guests.

Donald believes that sales is the most important department in every business, but that sellers are never taught the fundamentals of effective selling. So he created the podcast to change that. And he’s succeeding.

But he doesn’t stop there, he also thinks everyone in sales should be making 6 figures and he wants to teach every seller how to earn their way to that high income-status. Give The Sales Evangelist a listen, it might be the most valuable choice you make today.

11. How to Get a Meeting With Anyone

What people think: Rated 5/5 with over 12 reviews on Apple Podcasts

What people are saying: “Stu is a critical marketing thinker who attracts and interviews critical thinkers in marketing. His show brings leading edge thought leaders to leaders on the edge of thought. Listen, learn, apply, and succeed!’” - Apple Podcasts Review

Well, Stu has built upon everything that made his book the go-to contact marketing bible and added tons of new strategic and tactical takes with his eponymous podcast.

HtGaMWA — which is in no way a clunky initialism I should have avoided — would be worth a listen for just Stu, but the addition of leading marketers, CEOs, celebrities, presidents and even a prime minister make each episode worth its weight in gold. Wait… do podcasts weigh anything? It’s worth my weight in gold.

He has a unique ability to get guests to open up in a way that makes each episode feel like you’re hearing old war-buddies reminiscing over drinks, while still somehow breaking down each conversation into impactful sales-training modules.  It’s an amazing balancing act.

Dale is leading a revolution against sales stereotypes, boring sales training and hard-to-maintain sales personas. He is proof you can sell while staying true to yourself and keeping your kind and empathetic soul intact.
